The History
THERABAND originated in 1978 when two physical therapists approached the Hygenic Corporation with an innovative idea: repurposing latex Dental Dam material for rehabilitation exercises.
This collaboration led to the creation of the first flat, color-coded resistance band designed specifically for progressive strength training and physical therapy.
Since then, THERABAND has become the industry standard and the pioneer in resistance-based rehabilitation tools.
